New York Yankees Trade, Chris Stewart Makes Little Sense

New York Yankees GM Brian Cashman has acquired Chris Stewart from the spectacle of San Francisco Giants to get rid of George Kontos. Stewart, 30, works out of options, in order to make room for him in the list of Yankees Francisco Cervelli spectacle revealed to AAA. This will be the third Stuart goes with the Yankees, as he appeared in a game for them in 2008 after having spent part of 2008 and 2009 with Scranton / Wilkes-Barre Yankees.

Stewart, a very capable defender behind the plate, although his game is only with the Yankees was less than memorable, as he allowed a stolen base and could not get in the presence of two wild sounds that could easily be labeled as balls past. Last season, he worked as a backup catcher and the Giants appeared in 67 games and a collection of eleven non-hits (eight doubles and three home runs) in 162 at bats. He managed only a .204/.283/.309 AVG / OBP / SLG line last season. Stewart has always been the value of his defense.

George Kontos, 26, made his major league debut last summer with the Yankees in two runs in six innings. He also managed to strike out six. Kontos is a live arm and is based on out, on average, every time out during his six-year minor league career, and fly ball to its outputs. Of course, Kontos will never be relieved of all the stars, but it could be a very capable guy, handles, which would bring the average of 2-3 rounds at a time if necessary.

This agreement does not make sense for the New York Yankees. They give power to hand back a spectacle than a week after the victory of Craig Tatum from the denial of the Baltimore Orioles. Austin Romine, who was to become the recipient of the AAA, missed all of spring training and for an indefinite period with back issues and the Yankees felt they needed to catch the deep. However, there is no way to Chris Stewart, who is likely to have been submitted and passed through waivers, in the hands of young power, as Kontos.

Cervelli Francisco, who served as a backup with the spectacle of the Yankees in 2009, was sent to AAA, because he has options. Nevertheless, there is a general Cervelli is much better than Stewart. Cervelli, who can sometimes be a little adventure trying to throw runners still higher worlds Stewart hurt, placing below the line of .272/.338/.354, performing well for the dish. Cervelli lost the battle back sight, not even knowing that there was a war to fight for it just because it has options and Stewart does not work.

In essence, what the Yankees did this exchange of young power arm Kontos backup sensor that can not get moving is a very good back-up sensor that can hit and field at AAA. No matter how I try, I still can not wrap my head around this man. This may be one of the most curious Cashman as general manager.
