The Daytime Emmys Awards 2010

Talk show queen Ellen DeGeneres was among the winners at the Daytime Emmy Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday.
The comedienne was handed the trophy for Outstanding Talk Show: Entertainment at the ceremony for ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show.’

But it was a disappointing night for ‘General Hospital,’ the soap opera which James Franco joined for a brief stint last year. The show only landed two prizes despite scoring a massive 18 nominations.
Julie Berman was named Best Younger Actress in a Drama Series and the soap also won Best Drama Series Directing Team.
Meanwhile, soon-to-be-scrapped ‘As The World Turns’ landed three awards.
The show picked up Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series (Maura West), Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Michael Park) and Top Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Julie Pinson).
Other winners at the Las Vegas Hilton included ‘The Bold & The Beautiful,’ which landed Best Drama Series and Drama Series Writing Team, while the show’s star Drew Tyler Bell, picked up Best Younger Actor in a Drama Series.
Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series was handed to Billy Miller for ‘The Young and The Restless,’ while quiz show ‘Cash Cab’ won two awards for Best Game Show and Game Show Host.
