ST. JOSEPH, Minn. (AP) - Investigators are at a St. Joseph property near where 11-year-old Jacob Wetterling was abducted in 1989.
Neighbors report seeing several unmarked law enforcement vehicles Wednesday morning at the property. Aerial photos taken by the St. Cloud Times show as many as 17 vehicles, all-terrain vehicles and trailers on the property.
Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner told the newspaper the county attorney's office had advised him that a court order prevented him from saying why investigators were at the residence.
A sheriff's office squad car is parked at the entry to the driveway. Jacob Wetterling was abducted at gunpoint in October 1989 near the entry to the driveway. He was just a half-mile from his home in St. Joseph, in central Minnesota.
