Shark Attack Santa Barbara Beach Force Man

McKain Lucas Ransom UCSB a 19-year-old was killed in a shark attack while surfing today boogie VandenbergVandenberg Beach Air Force Base this morning.
According to Santa Maria Times, Lucas Ransom McKain was in the water with a friend named Matthew Garcia between 9 and 9:30 am when a shark bit and broke the leg of Ransom. Garcia, who was riding a regular surfboard, said his friend shouted for help as he disappeared into the water red. A few minutes later saw red boogie board attached to the rescue with a rope. Garcia took rescue and CPR, but noticed he was limping.
Ransom and Matt Lucas García were best friends since high school, was the first time any of them to surf beach, and they planned to sail until 11 am and then go to class at the University of California at Santa Barbara .
The AP reports, "Ransom suffered a huge wound in his left leg was found shortly after death," said the office of the County of Santa Barbara SheriffSheriff, noting that witnesses said the shark was between "14 and 20 feet ( 4.3 to 6.1 meters) long term. "
Surf Beach on the beaches of Vandenberg Air Force Base Force Base was closed for 72 hours according to authorities. It is a very unfortunate tragic event happened to a 19 year old is supposed to have a bright future ahead of him.
