Barbara Boxer Said We Win

Although Carly Fiorina opponent had yet to concede, Sen. Barbara Boxer declared victory, more or less, a little after 11:00 PM.
"This was the hardest year and most difficult of my life," he said. "It was my eleventh straight victory, and what a sweet it is."
The atmosphere in the ballroom at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel on the night was bittersweet.
"It is a day of mixed emotions," said City Council President Eric Garcetti. When asked what he attributed the wave of Republican victories across the country, he replied: "I think we'e accomplished much, which is precisely why people have had that reaction. When you take on the issues" in reference to health care and financial regulation, "you'll have a lot of people against him."
Assemblyman Mike Feuer was especially upset about Proposition 26, which keeps the state legislature pass rates without a majority 2 / 3. It was later announced that the ballot had won.
The trust was in the air when the networks projected Boxer and Jerry Brown to be the winners of their careers. Mayor Villaraigosa took the stage and proclaimed the defeat of two wealthy Republicans, saying the California election "is not an eBay auction."
After 10:00 pm, the excitement began to get out of the room. Boxer was back in the initial counts. Some in the room, as supervisor of Mark Riddley-Thomas, began to get nervous. The journalists started a bad mood.
But at the end of the boxer, along with his colleague, Senator Diane Feinstein took the stage.
"We stood up to Karl Rove, and we won!" said. "We stood up to Sarah Palin, and we won! We stood up to every special interest in this country ... and we won!"
