California Election 2010 Results New Updates

California Senator Barbara Boxer held a challenge from Republican Carly Fiorina to win fourth term Tuesday. The Los Angeles Times and Associated Press called the election shortly after the closing of the polls. With about 30 percent of precincts reporting, Boxer led his Republican rival 49 percent to 45 percent, the Southern California television stations reported.
Fiorina's bid to upend boxer took an unexpected turn last week when he fell ill. The former president and CEO of Hewlett-Packard was hospitalized with an infection linked to recent cancer surgery. After receiving antibiotics during the night, the doctors gave him a clean bill of health, and Fiorina returned to the track. Once there, he emphasized job creation.

"The truth is that people are a little tired of professional politicians," Fiorina said older voters Leisure World in Seal Beach, "because they go to Washington and stay forever. And they decide that the way to stay is to maintain taxpayer money flowing in order to be reelected. And they forget, is not really about her work, it is all other jobs. "
That view did not resonate with California voters, apparently.
A veteran, Boxer never allowed to relax. Was held campaign events in southern California on Sunday, following up his supporters in San Jose on Saturday. She also effectively used television advertisement, portraying Fiorina - the only woman who has led a Fortune 20 company - as a cruel outsourcing company that fired a parachute 30,000 while receiving $ 100 million in gold out of Hewlett- Packard.
