Prop 19 Results 2010 Latest Updates

Proposition 19, the controversial suggestion to legalize the growth, personal use and distribution of marijuana in California appears to have been largely defeated in the state with the exception of San Francisco, where the proposal won by a narrow margin.

Another interesting fact was that Democratic voters were more likely to pass Proposition 19, Republican voters. Prop. 19, if passed would have allowed Californians over the age of 21 to propagate up to 25 square meters of cannabis plants and possessing up to 1 ounce of marijuana.
But Attorney General Eric Holder had warned that the Obama administration strongly enforce federal drug laws. For more information on this, go to csmonitor.com.
