The response of the ANC Youth League to the Chamber of Mines of views on the nationalization of the mines was "childish and insulting," chamber CEO Zoli Diliza said.

"The contribution made by the League of reasonable and intelligent debate on issues of national importance, is unfortunate and is consistently characterized by an inclination of crude to fall into the rhetoric of abuse and intimidation," he said in a statement.
Diliza said the chamber had "taken note of childish and insulting response from the ANC Youth League to the comments made about the nationalization of the mining industry by outgoing Chamber president Sipho Nkosi."
"At the appropriate time, in the proper forum and the people and institutions duly qualified to engage in logical discourse uncontaminated by empty statements, the camera will be constructive and vigorously present their well considered views on the issue of nationalization, "which, he said.
Speaking at Annual General Meeting of the House on Tuesday, Nkosi said nationalization was not successful anywhere in the world.
"Simple, undeniable facts that prove conclusively that nationalization has never been a lasting and successful anywhere in the world that have implemented, are available," he said.
"A practice outdated and discredited, nationalization has impoverished many countries. - A number of them in Africa"
In response, the Youth League spokesman Floyd Shivambu said in a statement Wednesday: "The [Youth League] is annoyed by misleading and pathetic lies spread by the Chamber of Mines that nationalization has not been successful anywhere in the the world. "
Claimed the camera had supported the apartheid legislation and measures for treatment of blacks as subhuman.
"Therefore, they have no moral authority to say something constructive in rebuilding South Africa in the post-democratic dispensation."
recent national council of the ANC in general (NGC) decided that his leadership would investigate the feasibility of the nationalization of the country's mines, after repeated calls to do so from their youth league.
Before the NGC President Jacob Zuma and Mineral Resources Minister Susan Shabangu, said the nationalization is not the policy of the ANC government-LED.
The matter will be discussed by the ruling party at its next policy conference. The decision on whether the policy would be adopted at its elective conference in 2012.
