Roseanne Barr 2012 Seeks Green Party Presidential Nod: Roseanne Barr said Thursday it is working for the Green Party presidential nomination – and this is no joke.
Actress-comedian said in a statement that she is a longtime supporter of the party and looked forward to working with people who share its values. He said that the two major parties does not serve the American people.
“Democrats and Republicans have shown that they are servants – bought and paid for by 1 percent – who does what in the interests of the American people,” said Barr.Wall Street, the protesters occupied the popular “We are at 99 percent,” the slogan in the fight against economic inequality and the alleged corporate greed.
Barr filed documents for the Green Party for its use. The presidential candidate of the Party will be chosen at a convention in Baltimore in July.
Barr said he has been fighting for working class families and women for decades.
“I make speeches of American living rooms,” he said in a questionnaire submitted to Green Party candidate. “Traditional media will not ignore me, but most of them can not ignore the needs of ordinary Americans in the period before the elections in 2012.”
Barr hit television sitcom “Roseanne” was broadcast from 1988 to 1997 and won an Emmy and a Golden Globe. He played the wise cracking comedy about a mother in a working class family. Barr has 46 acres of macadamia nut in Hawaii.
