The 93-year-old Hollywood diva Zsa Zsa Gabor was admitted to hospital on Friday for blood clots in his legs.
Gabor was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center spokesman John Blanchette said the German dpa.
Gabor's husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, said he had complained of pain and swelling in the legs.
The icon has been in and out of hospital in recent months, but Blanchette said his condition had stabilized in recent weeks.
Gabor fell from his bed in July and needed a hip replacement. Just two days after the hospital released her after the operation had to be readmitted for two blood clots. He had to go back to being transported to hospital in September.
The native of Hungary was featured in many films in the 1950's.
