An Orlando woman is suing her former employer for gender discrimination and harassment, according to 'The Telegraph'.
Erin Amy Blakely said she endured six years of harassment on the size of your chest in the Devereux Foundation. She was a senior executive of the nonprofit agency that helps place children in foster care, especially those with therapeutic needs.
"It was very humbling to know that senior members of our management team would focus on my breasts as opposed to my performance in my work," Blakely said.
Blakely, 43, said she told her male colleagues could not concentrate in meetings because of his "big breasts" and that she was "too sexy" to get a promotion.
"I would use the side doors and hide from the managers, because I would not be subjected to further humiliation," said Blakely.
Blakely went on to describe what she said were demeaning comments made by colleagues.
"It made me feel that I should be ashamed of how I look and my body," said Blakely.
Blakely has hired high powered attorney Gloria Allred to represent her. Allred is well known for representing women injured call. More recently, he represented several alleged love Tiger Woods.
Blakely made two complaints of harassment with his company. She claims she was fired from his job as assistant executive director of the day after filing a second complaint about the comment.
Allred said the harassment began around the time he was promoted to his client. Blakely rose to the position of Deputy Executive Director of Operations in 2003.
