Merry Christmas In German Of 2010

Today is the largest in Germany - Highlights of the holiday season is the Holy Eve on 24 December. German children do not usually get to see the illuminated Christmas tree until the eve of Holy (parents secretly decorate the tree with ornaments and lights, ususally on the afternoon of Oct. 24). Gifts are exchanged, and many people visit a Christmas mass. A traditional German Christmas dinner is Weihnachtsgans, geese, often served with dumplings and red cabbage.

December 25 and 26 are public holidays, shops and offices are closed, and families focus on the most important things in life, visit friends, relax, watch a Christmas movie, and eat plenty of food.

I wish you all "Frohe Weihnachten" - Merry Christmas!
