Jeanne Edwards Fried From ESPN

ESPN announcer Ron Franklin was fired Tuesday by ESPN after making derogatory and sexist comments sideline reporter during a broadcast Jeanne Edwards Fiesta Bowl.

Franklin was suspended after a complaint was made about his behavior toward Edwards in a meeting. "Why not leave this to the children, sweet little baby?" Franklin reportedly said. When Edwards refused and said he does not like the direction that, Franklin said, "Okay then, a hole."

Franklin apologized for his remarks on Friday and said he deserved to be removed from the Fiesta Bowl after the comments.
