Millard South High School:Omaha Detective Son Shot Two School Officials

A high school student who was the son of a police detective shot two school officials at Millard South High School in Omaha today and then himself, police said.

The shooter was identified as Robert Butler Jr., son of Omaha Police Det. Robert Butler. It was his last year at school.
The two wounded in the shooting were the director, Curtis case, and an assistant, Vicki Kaspar. Kaspar is in critical condition and the matter is in stable but serious condition at the Hospital of the University of Creighton, according to the hospital.
The students ran to the kitchen of the school when the gunman opened fire. Sixteen years old, Laura Olson, a student at Millard, said that lunch was just beginning when the director came into the cafeteria.
"He was like yelling, 'Get in the kitchen! Get in the kitchen!" He was waving his arms. You knew something was wrong and was not a sham, "Olson told The Associated Press.
Butler's body was found in a red Honda about a mile from school. Police said he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
He had recently moved to South Millard school in Lincoln, Neb. Before the shooting, which issued an update to her Facebook page saying:
"Everybody knows that before I'm sry but changed Omaha and I (expletive) me up. And the school I attend is ur worst is here on the wrong (expletive) I did, but that the school (expletive) led me this. not going u guys remember me as I was b4 this ik. greatly affected family life in ruins, but I'm sorry. bye. "
No other students were injured during the shooting.
The first 911 calls came from the school around 24:50, and indicated that four to five shots had been fired inside the school office.
The police immediately went to the school and an apartment where the suspect is believed to live. They also learned that the suspect's mother could live in Lincoln, and advised the Nebraska State Patrol.
A SWAT team arrived at the school before 13:15 and Butler's body was found in a parking lot about a mile from school half an hour after the shooting, police said.
