Oakland Housing Authority Section 8 High Demands

Oakland Housing Authority Section 8 are in high demand, with no fewer than 100,000 are expected to apply for grants. Only about 10,000 receive the waiting list.
"We know that our families have been affected. We know there is a great need out there," said Housing Authority executive director Eric Johnson Contra Costa Times.
Currently, over 11,000 families to help pay the rent through Section 8, in accordance with the Oakland Housing Authority. An example of eligibility is a family of three people whose household income is $ 40,650 or less. The process of identifying qualified candidates may take place over several years. The last time the Housing Authority took applications for subsidies from Section 8 was in 2006, and only now are the last candidates to be notified that they are qualified.
The window of the application of Section 8, launched on Tuesday January 25 at 8 am. The agency will only accept applications online at the website of the Housing Authority.
