Oscar season is upon us, and Oprah had Oscar winners Susan Sarandon, Sissy Spacek and Holly Hunter in "The Oprah Winfrey Show " (weekdays, syndicated) today. She asked each actress which have their golden statues.
Sarandon (Best Actress, 1995) usually keeps his awards in a bathroom, but has given his to the Museum of Natural History and believes that now may be in Chicago. Hunter (Best Actress, 1993) holds his own in Joel and Ethan Coen offices in New York.
Specek (Best Actress, 1980) was a little possessive. "I am rarely without it, " he said. "I guess with me everywhere. "Oprah then flashed to a large video screen showing Spacek bed, clutching her Oscar.
The moral of the story? Never startle Specek Sissy when she is sleeping, unless you want to risk being beaten with a inadvertendly Academy Award.
