Maria Cino, the experienced political operator, has launched the race to become chairman of the Republican National Committee. Cino has been in politics since 1980 when he took his first job at the Republican National Convention.
"I joined the Republican National Convention was thirty years ago and fresh out of college, "said Cino. "Ronald Reagan has just won, and I was certainly excited about work than I thought it was the best job I ever had in my life that I was a kid from Buffalo, and I would be working for the Republican National Committee. "
Since then, Cino has worked his way through the party. His pitch to the committee members stressed solid experience and the skills and knowledge acquired in his three decades of working for the party.
"Frankly," she said, "The response has been very, very good. And I think that has to do with my field. "
From 1993 to 1997, Cino served as executive director of the National Republican Congressional Committee, where he learned firsthand how to deal with serious debts.
