Mystery Missile launch In California Videos And Photos

The missile launch in California show that discomforted the Pentagon Tuesday may have a simple explanation.
Fox News reported Tuesday that a trail of vapor, the exhaust gases emitted by a jet engine is similar to track missiles from certain angles.
According to a post ContrailScience.com, the angle of launching a jet plane, the direction of their flight, and the tilt of the earth can make it resemble a missile launch.
Col. Dave Lapan, a Pentagon spokesman, says the army is currently at a loss to explain the KCBS news video that shows what appears to be a missile launch.
"It seems that this was a regular missile test," said Lapan. "Before a military missile test sends notices to mariners, aviators and air traffic controllers to stay away from the area."
