Famous TV And Comedy Star Barney Miller Died At 65

Honesty is the best policy, but insanity defense better," joked actor Steve Landesberg, best known for playing Detective Arthur Dietrich brain on the TV comedy "Barney Miller." Landesberg died of cancer. He was 65.

Most recently, he might consider playing an accountant in the "wild pigs" and was starring as Dr. Myron Finkelstein on Comedy Starz "Head Case", where he also wrote seven episodes.

Landesberg started as a comedian, coming up with comics such as David Brenner, Jimmy Walker and come up with an improvisation of New York City Stickball Team.
