Earthquake In San Francisco And Bay Area

An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 was felt in San Francisco and San Jose and the Bay Area today. According to sources, small jolts were felt throughout the Northern California area, but scientists say that although he was nervous, was also common and routine.
The epicenter of today's earthquake in California was 13 miles southeast of San Jose City Hall and occurred at 4:10 pm on Friday, in a review of the rocks under the ground near the Calaveras fault in an oak remote landscape filled.
"It is not unusual for the Calaveras have earthquakes of magnitude 4, so you can call things off shelves, but is unlikely to cause any structural damage," said USGS seismologist David Oppenheimer, based in Menlo Park.
