Ivory Coast: Ouattara urges calm after rival's capture

Speaker recognized by the UN Operation in Côte d'Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara called for restraint after the dramatic capture of his rival, Laurent Gbagbo.

He promised Mr. Gbagbo a fair trial and told the Truth and Reconciliation Commission should be created.

Gbagbo, who surrendered after the attack on his residence in Abidjan, expressed hope for a normal life can resume as soon as possible.
